Marshall’s journey into the world of music is a tale of constant evolution and self-discovery. With a career spanning over a decade, he has established himself as a multifaceted artist in the Indian music scene. Marshall has toured with major artists, composed and produced songs for independent artists and labels, sung for ad-films, performed voice-overs, acted in movies, walked the ramp, delivered a TED talk, judged events, composed scores for shows, and performed at the highest levels in India. Described by his manager as "an unstoppable force in Indian music," Yohan Marshall is just getting started.
Coming from a family of distinguished lawyers, Yohan was a fearless, rebellious young boy with no interest in physics or history. Instead, he found joy in building things, puzzle-solving, and art. School was a struggle, but he eventually found his voice in music. Despite no familial background in music, his parents were supportive, and his teachers at Mahatma Gandhi International School encouraged him to pursue his passion. He formally studied music at K.M. Conservatory and Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, where he was mentored by some of the best in the field.
After moving to Mumbai, Yohan formed a band and began performing at major events and festivals across the country. His talent and versatility opened doors for him to tour with mainstream Bollywood artists as a session drummer. Within a few years, he travelled the world and performed with notable artists such as Arijit Singh, Off & Savera, The Bartender, Lisa Mishra, Manasi Scott, and Vir Das. His reputation grew, leading to appearances at Lakmé Fashion Week, features in GQ’s best-dressed campaign, Cosmopolitan 2024, and a TEDx talk. Yohan’s performances at high-profile events, including "The Stage" TV show, Formula-E India, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's wedding, solidified his status as a prominent figure in Indian music.
