Once a learner, always a learner. One's intellectual growth depends upon understanding and grasping the power of the environment around them. An intelligent person shows more instances of being educated and well-formed. Education does not only deal with the exams and assignments given in school and college, but it is something that a person recognizes and learns while interacting with the real world. Education is what makes a person fearless, teaches him the lesson of unity, makes him aware of his rights, and inspires him to struggle for his rights. These were the words of DR. B.R. Ambedkar, followed by generations of millions. Obeying this important phenomenon, Nerak brings the concept to the hip-hop scene with his latest EP "Shikshan".
“Shikshan” is inspired by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s quote, “Education is the milk of tigress. Who will drink, He can't stay without roaring.” that is exactly the message I am trying to give out.
Even before deciding on the name of the EP, there was much learning while making this project. From being patient to understanding that it's not the right time to leave the job and just do music and understanding the importance of taking care of family and dreams together, the whole roadway to the project served as a crucial path to maturity. Releasing these songs after 2 years left him quite nervous but the whole experience of creating and putting it forward was worth it. Still learning about ways to utilize more sounds, techniques, and ways to promote his music, Nerak still believes to be a learner.

When asked about the whole landscape behind the planning, he explained that there was no predefined path. The EP just contains songs made in a different timeline but complimenting each other. One reason that might explain the strong correlation between the songs is the fact that all of these songs were written during or after work. Cut off to today, after looking at his performance at AntiSocial accompanied by Verse-atiles, Devonian, and many more artists, you can see that the young rapper is living and creating the best memories of his life. When asked about his feelings now that he is one of the leading figures in the Pune rap scene, Nerak humbly acknowledges that he doesn't believe himself to be one. But he shares his compassion for the rest of the artists and how they have helped him shape his sound. From looking up to these artists to making music with them, this is nothing but a dream come true for him. Just being around such artists is motivating and inspiring.
"I have always looked up to Vedang, Shreyas, and Siege. It’s a dream come true to be able to make music with them. And it’s always a great feeling to be surrounded by people as hungry as you, Verse-atiles, Devonian, Ivaan, and Mridul, and a few very talented artists that I am looking forward to making more music with."

Coming back to Shikshan, when asked to explain the concept in short to someone. Nerak explains the project as an honest attempt to help people understand the importance of getting out of the gutter rather than staying in the same place and being proud of it. Being a huge MF Doom fan from day one, his music has played a huge role in devising his soundscape. The fan favourite and his favourite track from the project, "Farz" was written while listening to one of Vaudeville Villian's beats and the lyricism and flow can be compared with the other. Ending our sweet conversation talking about his plans, he explains that this is just the beginning. He is planning to collaborate with many artists not only nationwide but worldwide. Also, he aims to release two EPs before the year ends with each of them being more experimenting compared to his latest project. It looks like the learner will soon become the master.
"Learning honestly never stops. This project is honestly a result of lessons learned from life, from mistakes that I made or people around me did."
