A Harmonious Prelude
As Trisha told us a vivid picture of her childhood, it became evident that music is not merely a career choice for her but more of a calling. Nestled in the rich melodies of Goa and being an active participant in school and church choirs, she discovered the joy of communal singing, a sensation that would become an integral part of life and mould her artistic identity.
The gift of an acoustic guitar on her birthday marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Influenced by legendary songwriters such as Ray Davies, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, and Stevie Nicks, Trisha embarked on a quest to find her unique sound. Diverse genres beckoned, but it was the haunting melodies and experimental arrangements of alternative music, as showcased by The Cure, Tally Hall, and Elvis Costello and The Attractions, that left a mark on her.

Crafting Reality's Bittersweet Symphony
"Reality's A Bore" is a latest single from Trisha’s upcoming debut EP "Killer Times" staged to release in 2024 that reflects an evident evolution in her songwriting. In a departure from her earlier releases, this track delves into the depths of existential crisis and the tumultuous journey into the music industry. Collaborating with producer Penguin Perception, she concocts a funky, carnival-inspired sound that transports listeners to a fantasy world.
The dichotomy between the whimsical instrumentation and the stark realism in the lyrics creates a poignant tension. The lyrics "Life is unfair," whispers one half, while the other defiantly retorts, "Why aren't we doing something about it?" mirrors the internal struggles and external challenges faced, inviting listeners to contemplate their own place in the world.
The thematic depth of "Reality's A Bore" is not merely a creative expression but a gateway for listeners to explore their own desires for something more. Trisha hopes that her music serves as a catalyst for escapism from mundane realities, encouraging a deeper search for meaning.
"I can only hope the listeners feel like they aren't the only ones feeling strange in a stranger world," she shares, inviting a sense of shared humanity in the face of the unknown.

A Sonic Alchemy of Growth
As a music major in college, Trisha has expanded her toolkit, cleverly incorporating music theory and vocal techniques into her compositions. Each release becomes a canvas for her continuous learning journey, exploring new soundscapes and experimenting with unconventional elements. The intricate use of sirens, tire screeches, and human cries in "Killer Times" exemplifies her commitment to pushing boundaries, creating an apocalyptic ambiance that envelops the listener.
“Drawing inspiration from film scores, particularly the work of David Arnold, I have added musical vision and a cinematic quality to my storytelling” Trisha told ‘The Outsiders’. This evolution, she believes, is a testament to her growth as an artist, a constant exploration of new territories and a determination to offer her audience a rich and immersive sonic experience.
According to Trisha in her universe, every note is a chapter, and every song is a journey. "Reality's A Bore" is not just a track for her but a portal into the depths of human experience, a mirror reflecting the complexities of existence.
