The moment you lay eyes on the bold, frenetic strokes of red, the daring splashes of colour, and the erratic scribbles adorning the artwork of vinayvvs' latest project, you're plunged into a visual symphony reminiscent of Basquiat and the audacious world of Neo-expressionism. This visually arresting style not only matches the music's intensity but amplifies the raw, unpolished journey of an artist in perpetual transformation.

Back a few months ago, when we had a conversation with vinayvvs, he deeply expressed his desire to always mature and grow. Maybe at that moment, the testimony might've occurred as nothing but a conventional benchmark yearning for every artist. Looking at the illustration of the period from then to now, the artist has produced two projects with the recent one "Red Room" transcending the limitations of the artist while maintaining touch with his truest self considerably in the rawest form. Red Room, being tagged as a submersion into self-discovery seems like a coating to something evident enough to be discerned by any listener. Looking back at the release of "Vain", a much more appropriate term to label the latest project would be metamorphosis.

With a pack of six tracks spanning fourteen minutes, the artist puts forward to be as unapologetic to the rigid conformers as he can while connecting with the new listeners and his existing fans on such a level of profundity that makes you emerge in the world of chaos and that he is forging through his words and production. The project starts with the track "Offa 1", with a repetitive melody establishing a hypnotic effect on the amygdala of the brain while preparing what is to come after this. The lyrics layered above this melody strike as an interlude to the project or in a sense what the listeners can expect from the whole tape. With some self-boasting rhymes wrapped around the world of vinayvvs, the track builds up to the rage-filled synths which are followed in the next track "Fill the Void". The song delivers an electrifying experience with its insane synths and deeply personal lyrics. The single verse offers a raw, authentic glimpse into the artist’s emotions. The powerful combination of innovative electronic production and the power of the ink generates a butterfly effect whose sounds can be traced back to Rodeo. "Visual Creature" opens with a sinister production and intense drums that immediately grab attention, setting high expectations. However, once the rapping begins, the track somewhat loses it’s momentum.

The personal yet weak rhymes dilute the initial impact, making the song feel bland despite its promising start. The powerful soundscape can't fully redeem the lyrical shortcomings, resulting in a mixed experience. Tracks like "Supernova" and "Gumnaam Saaya" maintain a familiar sound reminiscent of the artist's earlier works, yet they undeniably hit hard as a jam. Their infectious beats and high-energy delivery ensure they stand out, even without pushing new boundaries. These tracks reaffirm vinayvvs ability to captivate listeners with their distinctive style and undeniable charisma, making them instant favorites despite their lack of groundbreaking innovation. The standout juncture of the whole project circles at the track "Khoya Bachpan" which circles all the core elements present throughout the tracklist into this powerful song engulfed with beautiful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. Exploring the feelings of sacrificing his childhood for survival as a kid delivered with a hazy cadence, the energy emitted by the whole track is exorbitant.Overall, the project prevails with polarizing aspects presented by Vinay as a standout work in the Indian hip-hop scene. With the anticipation  built in this pack for the upcoming future releases, there's no ambiguity in the mastery that he provides with his waivers. For me, Red Room is a constructive demolishment of the ideology established when it comes to Indian trap music. But on a much more serious and profound note, this project perceives the fact that vinayvvs is ready to kill a part of himself, to create something fresh and this project pose as a step in his journey from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
