Paras Chhabra, known by his artist name Mc God, embarked on his musical journey with a deep-rooted love for hip hop. Influenced by icons like Honey Singh, Eminem, and 50 Cent, his childhood was steeped in the beats and rhythms of the genre. As he matured, the likes of Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake further fuelled his passion. Yet, it was more than just the music; it was the raw emotion and empowerment found within hip hop that spoke to him on a profound level.

"I always used to listen to hip hop since my childhood," Paras reflects. "I started listening to Honey Singh with his album 'International Villager,' and that sparked my interest in music and hip hop. Then, I began listening to Eminem and 50 Cent."

His journey wasn't solely about crafting beats and rhymes; it was about channelling his struggles and experiences into something meaningful. "Having ADHD and experiencing depression, I found solace and inspiration in hip hop music," he shares. "The raw emotions, personal struggles, and empowering messages in hip hop resonated with me on a deep level."

The transition from listener to creator was a natural progression for Paras. Inspired by personal experiences, his first foray into music production came unexpectedly while assisting a friend in the studio. "One day, while assisting Kritagya in recording an R&B song at my studio, God’s Den Studios, I provided adlibs for the track," he recalls. "This experience sparked a sense of confidence within me and inspired me to create my own music."

"Last Call," his debut track, served as a form of therapy, delving into the emotions surrounding a breakup. Looking back, Paras acknowledges the vulnerability of sharing such a personal story but also takes pride in the connection it forged with listeners.

As an artist, Paras sees music as a powerful tool for social change and personal growth. "I believe that music holds immense power," he states. "Through my music, I strive to address social issues, giving voice to those who may struggle to speak out or advocate for themselves."

His creative process is deeply introspective, drawing from real-life experiences to craft authentic and relatable music. "I typically start by selecting a topic that holds personal significance or addresses important issues from my everyday life," he explains. "By staying true to my own experiences and emotions, I strive to craft music that is both genuine and relatable."

Describing his sound as a blend of trap with darker undertones, Paras aims to push the boundaries of traditional hip hop. Drawing inspiration from artists like Bones, Eminem, and Joyner Lucas, he strives to create music that is both innovative and socially relevant.

Looking to the future, Paras is excited about his upcoming projects, including albums like "CBD 2 (Certified Business Drip)" and EPs like "Life Is Illusion." "I'm excited about these upcoming releases and collaborations," he shares eagerly. "I can't wait to share them with my fans."

Reflecting on his journey, Paras acknowledges the evolution he's undergone as an artist. "I'm constantly learning and exploring new elements and styles in my music," he says. "Moving forward, I am looking to incorporate more commercial elements into my work and create some commercial hits."

Through it all, Paras remains grounded, drawing on lessons learned and offering advice to aspiring artists. "It's important to keep yourself open to exploring and learning new things," he advises. "One piece of advice I would give to aspiring artists based on my experiences is to trust your instincts and keep pushing yourself to explore new creative territories."

Among his creations, one track holds a special place in Paras's heart - "Fallin4U" from his album "CBD." "It's the first time I ventured into singing," he reveals. "The song captures a pivotal moment in my life and emotions, making it a favourite among my creations."

As Paras continues his musical journey, he remains committed to honesty, authenticity, and a passion for creating meaningful music. "It's essential to always surround yourself with supportive friends and stay true to your passion for music," he asserts. "These values will not only guide you through challenges but also help you stay grounded and focused on your artistic growth and development."
