One fine day three musicians and music enthusiast Subodh, Austin, and Bhumit, caught up in the frenzy of an inter collegiate battle of bands, decide to ditch the covers and craft their own tune. Two days of intense creativity birthed 'Yaadein,' the song that not only clinched the victory but marked the inception of Last-Minute India. Now a full-fledged indie sensation, the band comprises Subodh, the bass-strumming wordsmith, Austin, the melody-weaving lead guitarist, Pursuharth Jain, the vocals maestro, and Samaksh, the rhythmic heartbeat on drums.
Musical Palette
Their music inspiration is a mixed bag, a delightful mishmash of each member’s personal musical taste right from prog, metal, jazz, classic Bollywood hits from 2002-2011, and everything in between. This diverse palette of influences lends a distinctive flavour to their compositions, making Last Minute India a genre of its own.

Overcoming Struggles
As they reflect on their journey, the band shares the real struggles they faced. Their first concert nerves where they kicked off with their own composition. Studio costs, gear quality, hiring engineers where hurdles were plenty. PR and managers? Non-existent. But these obstacles only fuelled their determination to let their music shine.
In a candid chat with ‘The Outsiders’, the band spills the beans on their early days. They admit, back in the initial days, it was mainly friends who rocked out to their tunes, but as their songs found a place in major playlists, they went from a cozy circle to a much broader audience.
Game-Changer
A defining moment for the band was playing at a fest in BKC Bandra, sharing the stage with legends like Farhan Akhtar What's the major twist? Farhan Akhtar casually strolled in during their soundcheck, turning the nostalgia of playing Rock On covers in their childhood bedrooms into a surreal reality.

Releasing music is the key
“It’s always been a huge task to get slots at big and reputed music festivals, it took us some time to realiZe and understand that if people must’ve listened to your songs and music, you’ll for sure get booked, and so we now focus on making our own music and spreading It to people instead of running behind the organizers. We actually did in the initial years and ran behind the organizers but did not focus on the releases so the key according to us is to keep releasing music and reach out to a bigger audience.” shares the band
“Collaborating with Arijit Singh and Pritam, hitting the stage at Lollapalooza, and rocking the Coca-Cola Arena is a dream. But despite the dreams, we insist on keeping it human, sitting and chilling together not just for music but for life” shares the band.
Last Minute India's journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the simple belief that music is meant to be felt. As they ride the indie wave, there's an undeniable charm to this band – a group of friends turned musical mavericks, proving that sometimes the best tunes are the ones crafted in the spirit of pure, unfiltered vibes.
