Govind, now known for his music, once dreamt of being an actor. His YouTube channel, now archived, was filled with comedic skits back in the day. He admired Bhuvan Bam and Harsh Beniwal, finding inspiration in their work. But things took a turn around 10th grade when Govind found himself battling depression. Amidst trying to understand his struggles, he stumbled upon Badshah's debut album, a moment he vividly recalls. For him, Badshah's music became a lifeline, pulling him through tough times. Since then, Badshah has been Govind's beacon, influencing his music and driving him to create tunes that resonate with the masses.

Music wasn't a family tradition for Govind; he just stumbled upon it, seeking joy and self-discovery. It wasn't about crafting a perfect collection of songs or achieving lofty goals; it was about having a blast, getting to know himself, and cherishing the journey. Govind's philosophy? Go with whatever feels right in the moment. He hopes his listeners, whether they've been there from the start, drifted away, or just tuned in, find something special in his tunes. His music is like a peek into his soul, revealing different sides of him with each passing year and every new song. So, he urges everyone to stay connected with an open mind and see where the music takes them.

“Stay away from the people who have benefited from you and act like you’ve not given them”

Reminiscing about his very first song, "Laptop," born from a hiccup in teenage romance, a moment of miscommunication. Excitedly, he plans to include it in his debut mixtape, despite already dropping three EPs. “Every song that I’ve ever crafted is dedicated to just one person. It's like each melody is a love letter, penned with heart and soul.” Says Govind.

Govind spills the beans on his music-making mojo, revealing there's no fixed formula. He's not one for fancy studios but instead, he feels most at ease in his own room, maybe even lounging on his bed. Inspiration often strikes when he's chilling with his pals, jamming out or stumbling upon catchy loops online. Describing his sound, Govind paints a picture of music that's not about getting you hyped for a dance floor or a mosh pit but more like a soundtrack for those quiet 3 a.m. moments, when thoughts wander and emotions run deep. Though he enjoys dabbling in various genres, R&B and lo-fi hold a special place in his heart. When it comes to artists, he's got quite the eclectic playlist, ranging from Post Malone and Arijit Singh to talents like Karun, Badshah, Talha Anjum, and 47.

Marching to the beat of his own drum, Govind reveals that he's never been one for dropping singles. For him, condensing a complete story into just one song is like trying to fit an elephant into a teacup. Instead, he's pouring he’s currently energy into a mixtape, a project housing nearly ten tracks and labor of love that's shaping up to be one of his grandest endeavours yet. Govind opens up about his passion for music, urging aspiring artists to prioritize their love for the craft over chasing numbers. He dishes out some sage advice, cautioning against diving too deep into love at a young age, lest it leads to heartbreak.

“I don’t want anyone to feel lonely and no one should feel the absence of love in their life and if my songs make them feel happy this is exactly what I aim to do with my music”

Reflecting on his own musical journey, Govind reveals that among the dozen or so tracks he's released, "Who Bhi Kya Baat Thi" holds a special place in his heart. From his "Borderline Deewana" EP, this track was penned in 2021 as a heartfelt birthday gift for his then-love. Despite the relationship ending, the song remains his favorite, a timeless reminder of love and loss.
