Rahman admits, "I'm instinctively drawing from this diverse pool, including new music that constantly inspires me. Behind the Notes
Each artist dances to their own rhythm, governed by their unique rules and patterns. However, for Faizan, the creative journey is a dynamic and eclectic one. There are no fixed formulas or rigid structures but instead an organic and spontaneous process that unfolds, embracing a mix-and-match approach to artistic expression. “Creating music is a diverse journey for me, you know? It's never a one-size-fits-all process. Sometimes I start with a cool sample that catches my ear, other times it's just me and my guitar having a laid-back jam session. And there are those moments when I catch myself humming a catchy melody, and bam, I build up the entire track around it. It's pretty instinctual, to be honest. The more tunes I whip up, the more I've come to realize that trusting your own ear is key. It's all about making music that feels true to yourself. That honesty is at the core of my creative process.” Shares the ‘Kehdena’ artiste
Shifting Musical Landscape
Over the four years he’s been making music Faizan thing it's crazy how quickly things changed and escalated. According to him back in 2019, the bar wasn't set too high, and there wasn't as much competition. “You could wing it without overthinking but let's zoom into today and the game's levelled up, and it's a bit crowded out there. Now, you have to showcase your art in a way that shouts ‘unique’.” It's all about consistency he further adds and about rocking a killer visual vibe, and

Harmony with Honey
Working with Honey Singh for 'Kalaastar' was a real game-changer for Faizan. It turned out to be the highlight of his hustle last year. The sheer magnitude of the project opened his eyes to a whole new level of the music scene and was similar to getting a backstage pass to how things roll in the industry. Faizan says the opportunity not just boosted his street cred but also it catapulted his work into a much broader audience.

Netflix Nod
In 2021, Faizan created 'Kehdena' and a year later, an email from Netflix arrived, seeking a sync license for the series "Class." It marked a defining moment for him, solidifying his commitment to making music full-time. Interestingly, 'Keh Dena' was released without any expectation of the audience it eventually reached. This experience made him realize the importance of putting music out without overthinking, as he reflects, "Sometimes, you just gotta let the tunes speak for themselves."
Future Cadence
Talking about the road ahead, Faizan beautifully sums it up saying that he’s riding this musical wave with a mix of intention and passion and his future plan is more tunes, more vibes, and keeping the joy in every beat while creating a rhythm that not only resonates but also brings a smile. There's intention, a tad more discipline involved but he always keeps reminding himself that making music is his joy, and he never wants to lose the fun in it while keeping the good vibe alive!
“I think I spent most of my last year making music with other people, and although it is really fun and has helped me learn a lot, but I realised that it’s equally important to give time to my own music, and be more consistent with what I put out, to solidify what my music is and realise my own potential as an artist. So, this year, I’ve decided to change that and release my own project, which I’m really excited to share with everyone” says Faizan
